About Us

Our Founder
Doug Smith, CMPS®, founder of HomeWealth Solutions, began his career as a financial advisor in 1998. He went on to become a Top Ring Producer for ING Financial Partners and earned the Registered Financial Consultant (RFC®) designation, serving clients with a planning-first, fiduciary mindset. In addition to his work with clients, Doug served as an adjunct professor at a state college, where he taught retirement planning strategies — further deepening his expertise in helping individuals prepare for a secure financial future. Today, as a Certified Mortgage Planning Specialist (CMPS®), Doug combines decades of financial advisory experience, teaching experience, and advanced mortgage strategy expertise to help advisors and CPAs integrate housing wealth into their clients’ broader financial plans.
